The Backroom Gear Ugly Christmas Vest takes the wholesome Christmas sweater tradition and gives it exactly the kind of festive makeover you'd expect from us.

Poppers, gas masks, jockstraps, devil hearts, butt plugs and baubles. All arranged in traditional Christmas jumper patterns, with enough questionable decorations to make Christmas lunch with the family significantly more interesting.

And here's the best bit: it's actually knitted, not printed.

The artwork is knitted directly into the fabric using a traditional-style jacquard knit, giving the vest that proper retro Christmas jumper look and feel. Soft, lightweight and comfortable, without the bulk of a heavy winter sweater.

Wear it to the Christmas party. Wear it to the bar. Wear it to Christmas lunch and see how long it takes Grandma to work out what's decorating the tree.

Before You Order

Check your size: This knitted vest fits differently from our regular Backroom Gear T-shirts. Please check the size chart and garment measurements before ordering, rather than choosing your usual BRG tee size.

Made to order: Each vest is individually knitted for you. Production takes longer than our regular printed clothing, especially during November and December.

Ordering for Christmas? Allow plenty of extra time for production and shipping. Christmas delivery is not guaranteed.

This vest uses a classic unisex fit with some natural stretch.

Because the sizing differs from our regular T-shirts, we strongly recommend checking the size chart and garment measurements before purchasing.

If you're between sizes, consider whether you prefer a closer fit or a little extra room, particularly if you'll be wearing a shirt underneath.

Made Just for You

Each Christmas vest is knitted especially for you, so it needs a little extra time before heading your way.

Production typically takes 7–12 business days, increasing to 9–16 business days during November and December.

Once it's ready, your vest is shipped directly from our production partner in China. International delivery times vary depending on your location, so we recommend ordering early if you're planning to wear it for a special Christmas occasion.

Care Instructions

Give your festive filth a little TLC.

• Machine wash inside out on a gentle cycle at 30°C (86°F).
• Wash with similar colours.
• Avoid bleach and harsh chemicals.
• Dry flat to help maintain its shape.
• Avoid high-heat tumble drying.
• Slight shrinkage may occur after the first wash.

Good to Know

Every knit has character. Small variations in stitching, pattern alignment and contrasting threads can occur, particularly around seams. These are normal characteristics of the knitted construction.

Colours may vary slightly. Actual colours may differ from those shown on screen.

It's a lightweight knit. This is not a thick woollen winter sweater. The fabric is soft and comfortable, and the knit may open slightly when stretched significantly.
